This year we want to create a Conflict Transformation Group that will help facilitate conflict transformation/resolution/reconciliation workshops and skill shares and spread awareness on emotional and mental well being and healing intense states of being (PTSD, stress, ect.). I personally don't have too much experience with this but I want to try to encourage and participate in a group with people with more experience and people with less experience who are interested in learning/participating in conflict transformation. Along with more experienced folks doing workshops I am picturing rotating a group of people who could mark themselves with a color (like medics do) as people who are open to being approached by anyone who needs to talk about something uncomfortable, vulnerable, intense, or sometimes someone just needs some water or food or something. These roles could rotate every day (people could volunteer to be conflict transformation supporters at morning circle) to decentralize conflict transformation to as many folks as possible. You wouldn't really need any experience to be a conflict transformation supporter, just a willingness to listen to someone and be supportive to what they need. Especially if we have more experienced folks to offer guidance, I think this might be a helpful way to address the intense stuff that can come up for people in the woods. These are just a few ideas we've been talking about. What do you think?
